Join us as we delve into what God wants us to learn about following Him, and obeying his Word.

Clash of the Kingdoms | Week Six | Woe to You Pharisees! (Matt 23)

Great Expectations | Week Seven | Help My Unbelief (Matt 17:1-27)
The disciples experienced SO MUCH! Just take this section of Scripture we are looking at in Matthew: Peter, James, and John witness the transfiguration of Jesus, hear God’s audible voice, Moses and Elijah appear, and a bright cloud envelopes them. Not your ordinary day to say the least! Afterward, they could not drive a demon out of a boy. They asked Jesus why. His answer: they lacked faith. After everything they experienced?! Seriously? Yep! So it is with us. Why?

Week Five | Amazing Things Happen on the Way (Matt 9:18-26)
    Series: TAXMAN
God’s timing is impeccable. He is orchestrating events all around us, all of the time. He is all-powerful and always working. He chooses to use us in this amazing adventure, just as Jesus demonstrated in our text. On His way to raise the dead, a woman encounters Him and finds healing for her long-suffering. Some of us may easily look at this meeting, or things we encounter as a detour or a ‘distraction’ at times. However, both were set-up to happen when they did for the power of God to intervene!

Week 9- Giving to the Poor (Matt 6:1-4)
When Jesus says, “When you give to the needy…” He presupposes that His disciples would indeed give. We are not to give to make ourselves look righteous and good. It matters not just giving to the poor, but also why we give. Our motives are what is most important to God. Our motives is what He constantly checks in us by His Spirit.

    Week 2- Convicting Power
The Holy Spirit’s role is to convict men of sin, righteousness, and judgement. His convicting and convincing power is what draws us to God to begin with. To ignore this we cannot have a healthy and fruitful relationship ongoing with Him. Sin still separates us from God and the Holy Spirit unites us to the Father. (John 16:7-15)

    Advent – Peace
    (John 14:27)
Anxiety. Stress. Fear. Overwhelming grief. Sometimes these become our constant companions. It doesn’t have to be this way! Jesus gifts us His peace. This week, we look at peace that is ours as we continue to walk in Him.

Week 40- Extreme Home Makeover (Haggai 1-2)
Scripture tells us to give careful thought to our ways. The prophet Haggai was given a word from the Lord to a people who were caught up in comfort and consumerism; living in beautiful houses, while the House of God was left in ruins. How are we self-absorbed and self-focused while the things of God are not taken seriously or thoughtfully? We can easily fall into the “American dream” of having a lot of possessions and conveniences and the busyness of holding it all together. Suddenly, without realizing it we are caring only about our own “house” when God would have us be consumed with zeal for His house!

Week 14- Is God Angry? (Acts 5:1-11)
The story of Ananias and Sapphira makes us very uncomfortable with today's popular "feel good" theology.   God's character has not changed from the Old Testament to the New.  He is an awsome God who demands holiness, righteousness, discipline, and obedience to His commands.  While He is gracious, kind, and loving, He is also a Holy consuming fire.  His mercy is longsuffering, however He will bring discipline to his children who walk in open disobedience. This message talks about finding a balanced and accurate view of God's character as Father.
