Jonah was a man who knew God and could recognize His voice. Though Jonah was a prophet of God he had his own idea on how to live his life. The Bible says that upon hearing the word of the Lord and God’s plan for him that instead of obeying; Jonah ran away from the Lord. We often do likewise; we run from the Lord and fall away from Him. Instead of enjoying His presence and doing His will, we find ourselves doing our own ‘thing’. God is faithful even when we are not faithful; He pursues us, loves us, and restores us!
