We read through the last of Jesus’ life leading to His crucifixion and burial, interspersed with worship and corporate communion.

With the great upheaval of our current times and a pandemic in our country and world, it is very timely to remind ourselves that Jesus is returning! In Matthew 24, Jesus gives His disciples signs of the end of the age and declares His second coming. Is the great tribulation Jesus is warning about the same as what we see in Revelation? How does what He outlines to His disciples inform the other?

In this passage, Jesus gives the Sadducees two reasons why they are wrong about what they believe. These two reasons are so foundational, timeless, and vital; we will examine them for our own belief system, decisions, and way of living!

Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Jesus enters the temple area and clears out the money changers and those transacting business. He declared that, “My house will be called a house of prayer.” The next morning, He curses a fruitless fig tree. Let the house of the Lord have ears to hear!

Finding security and identity in wealth or finances is really finding it in ourselves and what we think we can do or provide. This hinders our walk with Christ greatly. It is a direct kingdom clash. We will talk about Jesus’ thought provoking encounter with the rich young ruler and what that means for us. Jesus also discusses divorce and remarriage again in this text (19:1-15.)
