Life Groups | Week 2 | Three Dimensional
Our vision for every Life Group is to have three dimensions. These three dimensions Jesus himself walked out: time with God, time with the body of believers, and time with those who do not know Jesus yet. Doing these together makes us truly family. The foundation is relationships.

Life Groups | Week 1 | Two Trumpets
We gather in two important ways as the “church.” When we come together, the Lord gives a special grace of His powerful presence for our edification, healing, empowerment, and correction. God designed us for this fellowship and support. We need one another!

Wholesome Thinking | Week Five | The Lord’s Patience Means Salvation (2 Peter 3)
Jesus’ delay in His second coming is so that He wants none to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. It is truly the long-suffering of the Lord on display. His patience is also with us, giving us ample time to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Are we making every effort to do so?

Wholesome Thinking | Week Four | Our Thought Life (2 Peter 3:1)
Peter has written these two letters (1st and 2nd Peter) in order to stimulate wholesome thinking. The Holy Spirit living in us must continually regenerate our minds. What we think about dictates much of our lives. We can have health in this area; we can be holy!

Wholesome Thinking | Week Three | Getting Entangled Again (2 Peter 2)
We really need to be careful who we listen to and what we accept as truth. Not everything that resonates with us or “feels” right is from God. Peter warns of false teachers who promise freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity. A Christian who has once escaped a sinful lifestyle can find themselves entangled again, following false teaching. Be careful!

Wholesome Thinking | Week Two | Importance of Scripture (2 Peter 1:12-21)
Our walk with the Lord is predicated on our ever-growing knowledge of God, therefore Scripture is paramount. Peter explains why we can have confidence in the reliability of Scripture and that we will do well to pay attention to it!

Wholesome Thinking | Week One | Make Every Effort (2 Peter 1: 1-11)
God’s divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us. As we grow in this knowledge, we can participate in His divine nature and escape our corrupted desires. Then we can be effective and productive. We cannot bypass or shortcut this knowledge. We also cannot just be content with faith, we must add to it!

Chosen People | Week Seven | Chosen to Be Humble (1 Peter 5)
We are exhorted to clothe ourselves with humility toward one another, this is in the context of spiritual guidance. God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. What does that mean? We are told to humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift us up in due time. Without this humility we shut off the flood gates of grace in our lives and cease to grow in our discipleship. The Church is also stunted in its growth.

Chosen People | Week Six | Chosen to Serve God No Matter What (1 Peter 4)
Peter says, since Christ suffered in His body, we are to arm ourselves with the same attitude. We deal with temptations, overcoming sin, our past, painful trials, trying to serve others without grumbling, and even persecution. He tells us those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

Chosen People | Week Four | Chosen to Have a Godly Marriage (1 Peter 3:1-7)
When marriage is lived out as God intended and as He guides us from His Word it is a life-giving, satisfying, God glorifying blessing. We examine what both Peter has to say about the role of husband and wife and particularly if the husband is unsaved.

Chosen People | Week Three | Chosen to Be a Priesthood of Believers (1 Peter 2:4-25)
All Christians have a calling! Every person who is a disciple of Christ should impact those around them by the life they live, the words they speak, and the deeds they perform. There should not be a clergy and laity divide. We are living stones being built into a spiritual house, we are all equal. We also discuss "Black Lives Matter" as well.

Chosen People | Week 2 | Chosen to Grow Up (1 Peter 2:1-3)
We are instructed to rid ourselves of every kind of malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander. Crave spiritual milk so that you can grow up in your salvation. Craving spiritual food is a sign of maturity and the only way to rid ourselves of these things. We also strongly deal with racism in this message and our responsibility to ensure justice for those being crushed.

We are God’s elect, chosen according to the foreknowledge of God, sanctified by the work of His Spirit. We are told we will suffer grief in all kinds of trials and that our faith will be refined. The goal of our faith- the salvation of our souls. His clear directive to us: Be holy! What is holiness? How can we be holy? We will examine these things.

Where Are You, God? | Week Five | Wrestle with God!
Life is hard. Understanding God’s purpose can be even more difficult. The call of Jesus is all about wrestling, not settling for easy. God is mysterious on purpose. Wrestle with Him; His Word, His gospel. Find Him, even if it’s where He just was!

Where Are You, God? | Week Three | When We Desperately Need God to Show Up! Part 1
Part 1- We take a look at Elijah’s journey of provision. He went from drought and desperation to miraculously being fed and provided for by God. Being used triumphantly by God in a way much like a modern CGI laced superhero movie to running for his life, cowering in a cave, believing he was the only one left. We see in him the ebbs and flows of our own faith walk.

Where Are You, God? | Week Two | In the Day of Adversity Consider…
Ecclesiastes 7:14 says, “In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: surely God has appointed the one as well as the other.” God redeems all things. He uses the adversity in our lives to conform us to the image of His Son. Make no mistake about it, we should count it all joy when we go through trials!

Where Are You, God? | Week One | Why Does God Allow Suffering?
We will attempt to answer the question that man has asked since the dawn of time, “Why does God allow suffering?” With the world ravaged by the COVID-19 pandemic, this is fresh on our minds and hearts. Why would a loving God allow this to go on? Is this God’s punishment on the earth’s population? What about His people? What about the innocent? In some ways we can have answers, in other ways, ours is to just trust.

Jesus is alive forever more! Not only is He found to have been resurrected but also everything that the disciples were given also had resurrection life! Jesus sends His disciples out to tell all nations the good news. All people can join the kingdom! His last words are, “I will be with you,” hearkening back to the first chapter declaration- Immanuel- God is with us.

Clash of the Kingdoms | Week Seven | End Times (Matt 24)
With the great upheaval of our current times and a pandemic in our country and world, it is very timely to remind ourselves that Jesus is returning! In Matthew 24, Jesus gives His disciples signs of the end of the age and declares His second coming. Is the great tribulation Jesus is warning about the same as what we see in Revelation? How does what He outlines to His disciples inform the other?

Jesus shares the Parable of the Two Sons and the Parable of the Tenants. He does so at the tail end of the chief priests asking by what authority that He is doing these things (i.e. clearing the temple). Both parables are about producing fruit; living it not saying it.

Through the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard, describing His own death, shutting down elevated self-importance, and then giving sight to two beggars, Jesus shows us something very important. It is all about perspective, a healthy big dose of perspective!

Clash of the Kingdoms | Week One | What Must I Do? (Matthew 19:1-30)
Finding security and identity in wealth or finances is really finding it in ourselves and what we think we can do or provide. This hinders our walk with Christ greatly. It is a direct kingdom clash. We will talk about Jesus’ thought provoking encounter with the rich young ruler and what that means for us. Jesus also discusses divorce and remarriage again in this text (19:1-15.) We covered this very important topic in our series, Sermon on the Mount- Week 5, which covered Matthew chapter 5. If you’d like to go back and listen, it’s available on our website.

Giving Your ALL | Week 3 | Do We Really Need to Give Tithes and Offerings?
There is a stigma on the church today when it comes to money. Many believing that Christian organizations, including the church, just have their “hand out.” Does God want us to give our hard-earned money to the church that we attend? Is the tithe a New Testament principle? What is the clearest pattern of giving found in Scripture? These questions and more will be addressed.

Giving Your ALL | Week 2 | The Heart of Giving
God is pleased most when we exemplify His heart. He is truly a giving Father. Not only is He the originator of life and all things; He showed it most when He gave His Son to die for our sins. The true heart of giving is when we do not withhold anything from Him. Not our wealth, our relationships, our resources, or our time.
