The book of Acts documents the power of the Holy Spirit demonstrated in and through the lives of His sent ones. One exceptional stimulant for this powerful release and effective spreading of the Christian faith was that of prayer. Prayer is mentioned as a hallmark 31 times and appears in 20 of Acts’ chapters. Around 120 assemble in the upper room before the day of Pentecost and it says, “They all joined together constantly in prayer…” We will look at the role of prayer in making decisions, seeking His will, and for receiving more of His presence.
